Startup image broken

Looks like the SVG image we're using doesn't render fine here. Maybe it helps to make the SVG as simple as possible (i.e. avoid "fancy" methods for achieving certain effects). I think Inkscape has a mode to store a SVG in simple mode, which can also help sometimes.
