Emoji button doesn't work on Android 4

• Android version: 4.1.2
• Phone model: Samsung GT-I8260 (arubaslimssxx)
• Briar version: 1.4.5 (4df523aa)
• User feedback: "I would like to inform you about the emoji icon which does nothing. It does not show the emoji selection box and therefore it is not possible to send any emoji."

I can reproduce this on my API 16 test device (Samsung Galaxy Ace 2).
